CREATIVE Catapults

In the SCHOOL CLOSET we have a RECYCLE bucket...really a bucket Tanner puts things in he wants to make stuff out of later...so TODAY we made CATAPULTS...he thought about what he needed and went in the school closet and got out a bunch of stuff:

Tanner said, "Mom let's just GOOGLE it." HUH...what's with our kids and TECHNOLOGY...I think I'm gonna buy some Encyclopedia's for TANNER...so he'll know you can find answers other than with GOOGLE!!!




ADDED BONUS...he played on FRONT PORCH for a half-HOUR by HIMSELF...launching pom-poms and CHALK...HAVING A BLAST!!!

I can not believe you are FOUR! Last night when we were telling stories at bedtime you asked me to tell you about when you were born...so I did...even the scary parts...when I finished you said "WHOA THAT WAS SO COOL MOM...YOU KNOW HOW IT WAS SCARY!"

TOOLS...you took your chair apart with a drill yesterday when i was in the shower
BOOKS..."The Wizard of Oz", "Smash,Crash", "Charlie Parker played Bee-Bop", "Go Away Big Green monster", "There's a Nightmare in My Closet", "The Ghost-Eyed Tree", "To the Beach", Bible stories especially..Noah's Ark, David and Golaith, Daniel and the Lion's Den and Joshua and the Battle of Jerico(notice he likes the scary oneor ones with fighting)

'twas the night before Christmas

Sam is 8 months!

 

SAM...time has flown by...too quickly...i love when you laugh out loud...you have the most beautiful blue eyes...you are my snuggler...YOU CAN EAT...you really focus when you eat...you want to feed yourself...you're not picky...you love to play with anything that is not a toy...you have the sweetest sprirt...BUT you can throw a tantrum...it's actually kind of FUNNY!!

Everytime I turn around Sam is headed to the bathroom to hide behind the curtain. He thinks this is sooo FUNNY! He LOVES when Tanner comes to find him...he belly laughs...it's PRECIOUS!

Grotto Falls

We took both the boys hiking in the Smoky Mountains...Chris had to carry Sam... I forgot the "hippie wrap"...oops





we saw DINNER...these turkeys blocks the road...so funny to see on Thanksgiving





...the views were breath taking...Tanner talked the whole time about all the things GOD made...when we saw the waterfalls he asked..."How did He do that, Mom?"

Loving My Family

We came to the mountains for Thanksgiving...it's amazing. The boys are in heaven. Tanner brought his rifle and immediately had to go looking for bears and deer.



...it's 3am in this photo...the boys got a second wind when we got here...Chris was sound asleep with the boys crawling all over him...we were looking forward to the king size bed...looks like the boys are gonna be sharing...fun, fun

To Do List:
Cook dinner for a friend.
Go to Target.
Finish the laundry.
Pack for Gatlinburg.
Clean out my car.
Give the dog a bath.
Give the boys a bath.
Finish paperwork for work.
Make muffins for the trip.
Put bills in the mail.
TRY to pick up the house before we leave.
Try to remember what I'm not thinking of????

My Little HOARDER

I THROW EVERYTHING AWAY...TO THE POINT WHERE SOMETIMES I AM LOOKING FOR SOMETHING AND REMEMBER I GAVE IT AWAY OR TOSSED IT! FOR TANNER, EVERY ITEM HAS A SPECIAL MEANING.

 

THIS IS TANNER...REFUSING TO GIVE AWAY HIS PUMPKIN...BECAUSE IT WAS "THE FIRST PUMPKIN HE AND SAM PICKED TOGETHER"...AND YES WE PUT OUT CHRISTMAS LIGHTS BEFORE THANKSGIVING!
