Valentine's Scavenger Hunt

SCAVENGER HUNT

One of my favorite memories is Valentine's Day Scavenger Hunts. My mom and dad did this every year for as long as I can remember...roses from Dad and the scavenger hunt!

Chris and I have done this every year since Tanner was born.

You start with a card that has a clue in it:

then you follow the clue where there will be a gift and another clue...the presents aren't big...but it is so much fun...A GREAT TRADITION to start with your family!!!

What's in the Art/School Closet for V-day?

So this is our SCHOOL/ART CLOSET....

School Activities...stuff i've made for him to work on...never forced...just there if he wants to...which usually he does every activity at least 1x

Bottom Row:

all kinds of Paper, coloring books, craft ideas books, science experiment books, playdough, etc.

(I make one to put on the shelf... then he can use it as an example or do whatever he wants)

I started this as a way to get a 5 minute break when Sam came...because before it was so easy to get just go get everything Tanner needed for an activity. I think he really loves the independence of creating whatever he wants and the accomplishment of completeing a task from the school shelf. We also do alot of it together...even Mom loves to draw, glue and cut!

So when we(I) couldn't stand the SNOW any longer we came inside and talked about the snow!

oops we used the big marshmellows for rice krispies!

Tanner even made
a
MONSTER SNOWMAN!!!

Then we went on a scavenger hunt around the house looking for things that start with the letter "S".

My stomach is killing me from laughing so hard...I almost wet my britches...and I emptied the kleenex wiping all of the laughing tears from my eyes while I was watching this!! ENJOY!!

Caught RED Handed

Hypothesis: Mixing toothpaste, soap and toilet paper in a confiscated Sprite bottle would make clean water

Conclusion: Clearly not clean water

Additional Comments: two parents who are trying so hard not to laugh...oh and a clogged sink:)







I just caught Tanner doing a "SCIENCE EXPERIMENT" in the bathroom when he should have been sleeping!!!




My time is wrong...it is not 6:00 it is almost 9:00:(
