Bittersweet...

Tanner has finshed the Four's at EUMK.  We have loved every minute of it...3 days (short days) was really tough for me not to have him at home.  He has grown up so much this year...he has made friends...puts his laundry away...gives Sam his toys even though he really still wants them...reminds us about prayers and his allergies!  What all of this means is that in just a few months he will be in Kinderg... I can't even get the whole word out!  I AM NOT READY but I know he is.  This year has been such a journey for me in my faith and in trusting God to put Tanner where he needed to be for K.  We are leaving him at EUMK but we considered everything including homeschooling.
As much as I wanted to homeschool Tanner next year, God had a different plan!  I know that He will reveal the WHY's as the K year progress.  I hope that homeschooling is somewhere in the plan but we will go wherever God leads us...public, private, montesorri, classical!

Spring Music Program...so sweet!
Sam had about 6 lollipops to keep him in his seat!

Toe-Knee-Chest-Nut
...funniest song ever

 Last Day of School Picnic

Pink ribbons and pink shoes...this is the only little girl Tanner talk about ALL of the time!

Long mornings=Long naps and rest time:)

Handwriting Without Tears

Tanner loves to read, picks up math easily and loves to build things.
Writing and drawing are not his favorite.  As his mom, I attribute it to the fact that he is left-handed...so I knew early on it may be harder for him to pick it up.
Luckily when I taught an OT introduced me to the most amazing program...

HANDWRITING WITHOUT TEARS

When Tanner was  about 3 1/2 a family gave us the...
WOOD PIECES SET FOR CAPITAL LETTERS and CARDS.
We used these to build MATMAN, make the capital letters and lets just say they may have neen used for some racing ramps.  Sam is already building circles!

Since then, I have ordered the workbooks, chalkboard, CD and paper.  It is sooo affordable and is by far the most amazing writing program I have seen.  I HIGHLY recommend it for parents.

SUMMER PLANS

This summer will be working through the lowercase letters in the workbook.  I also let him make a journal (he loved this at school )...he decorated the cover.  He has already drawn his summer self-portrait and written about his friend.

No words needed...

Messy Eggs...Round Two

After EASTER, I bought some super-cheap dye kits.  I was planning on saving these for next year but Tanner begged to dye eggs again...beautiful day...WHY NOT!!  I have to admit I secretly love making messes...NOT cleaning them up though! I am thinking if I play my cards right...I can teach the boys to do all of the cleaning after the messes...GOOD PLAN right!

GRASS...the boys each made at school!  They have been watering and cutting it...it's hilarious:)
