lately

Lately...an ipad and iphone dump

Sam got a haircut after school today.  Both boys have 1/2 days on Thursdays so we met my dad to trim the boys up.  He has taken the boy to get haircuts for every single haircut they've had...male bonding time...sometimes mom even comes...I wonder if other kids have grandparents, parents and aunts at their haircuts! Oh he always picks up the tab because he's generous like that...thanks dad!!

We go to FUNCUTS...which I highly recommend for kiddos...indoor slide, train table, video games, movies...it ROCKS!  Sam is watching Scooby Doo Meets Batman below...not a fuss. Mr. Ray is the best with boys...he has hair eating dinosaurs, shark juice and balloons!

Lunch...yes my only choice was to eat the goldfish from Sam's school Easter eggs.

Tanner and Chris love to bike ride on the trails.  Chris is teaching Tanner that it is important to take care of his new nice bike...so he put him and Sam to work washing the muddy bikes. I was really impressed they were squeaky clean.

In other news...MY CAR WAS FOUND...see it above it the rain boot and skateboard photo!!! Hallelujah...this was my prayer so we are very grateful.  We are taking it to the body shop Monday...the thief was not the best driver...he hit a thing or two so off to Joe Stewart it will go! I am so thankful to have it home, clean out and soon dent free.

zoo day...with dinos

I finally took the boys to see the dinosaurs at the zoo.  Sam and I have been to the zoo several times since the exhibit opened but never went to the dinos and Tanner was always at school the days we went.  We tried to go a few days the previous week but the line was down Poplar so we finally made it this week...I don't think so...so we hit the Children's Museum and Fire Museum instead.

The boys loved the dinosuars.  They really liked the dinosaur that squirted water!  Tanner loved reading about the dinosuars/ When you leave you go straight through a gift shop...but I will say it had some good stuff especially great donosaur books!

Bunny Run

Tanner ran his first 5k last Saturday. I am super proud of him.  I think he ran it in 36 minutes...Chris ran beside him and said he loved it.  We are so glad to add another running lover to the family!

The Bunny Run 5k benefits Special Kids and Families.  I am so lucky to work there part-time...it is such an amazing service for families with young children.

Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors

Happy Easter weekend sweet friends...this is by far my favorite holiday. I am so very grateful for the forgiveness of my Savior who shed his blood for a sinner like me...Thank you Jesus!  I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend to celebrate the love of our Savior.

HAPPY EASTER from the Phillips Family

Easter Eve with Drew and Ellie Holcomb

Such an amazing way to worship as a family, outside with great music and hymns from the familiar voices of Drew and Ellie.
Grateful for such a beautiful night to ride our bikes to the Levitt Shell.
They sang my favorite hymn "Come Thou Font", we picnicked "family style" and Yolo was there...doesn't get much better than that.
Looking forward to worshipping with my family at Hope and then spending the day celebrating our Savior and a sister's birthday!

This is my favorite song they sing, "Live Forever"...makes me cry.  The video has his family in it...watch it a few times and you'll be crying also. It is really a beautiful song.

a missing car?????

Sooooo....

my car was stolen
from the driveway
while we slept
and
in the midst of writing down the contents of my car
i realized
i secretly HOARD in my car
maybe its bc I'm obsessed with a clean house
tell me you car is not empty???
i run(drive) all day
stuff just accumulates
east memphis to germantown to midtown
taekwondo baseball church play dates bible study lessons school
i am in the car alot
no they haven't found it but in the grand scheme of things its just a car
it can be replaced
we are safe
the boys are safe
so for now I am driving "the Beast"...thats what I call the Tahoe...its so stinkin wide
no Poplar for me in the wide load "Beast"

so
a SEA DOG was necessary last night
i rarely drink but it was a beer kind of night
actually
a 2 beer night

the boys have had excessive energy so we found a good tree to take it out on

we filled a few big yard divots...and chris and i got a bonus 45minutes of interrupted talk while they retrieved the sand/dirt and filled the holes
i may dig a few more yard holes for them to fill

made some grocery trips via bike and trailer
suprisingly Sam had NO tantrums for Chris at Kroger...ahh he bought him cheetos first...bribery

found some snakes...note to self "you are a city girl"...I do not prefer snakes

and had some MELON for dessert...yummo
