The boys are so blessed to have such a great daddy. He comes straight home after work everyday so he can spend the afternoon with them. For this Father's Day we decided to give him something for what he loves to do...run! The boys wrapped the presented and colored special pictures on it for him...the wrapping paper is still in his closet:)

CAMP OWEN
A 5th birthday...camping style!
Sunday we attended CAMP OWEN...celebrating 5 years of a precious little boys life!
The boys have no choice but to be great friends...luckily they love one another. Look at those dirty clothes, you can tell everyone had lots of fun!
This is the "MAKE YOUR OWN TRAIL MIX" bar. Yummo and super creative. Not that I expected anything less, Molly is one of the most creative people I know.
roasting marshmellows
The party had a huge tent set up with sleeping bags, camping dishes to wash, a swimming pool to fish and bugs to dig for. They kept our bellies full with hotdogs, chips and coleslaw...not to mention yummy treats.

beach days
A friend from Tanner's K class was staying in the same neighborhood as us...Tanner was so excited to have a friend.
This guy will not sit still...he is a busy bee! It makes for a very busy and tired mama. He is always asking me to do something.
I wonder what all they talk about? Every time I looked over they were like little chatter boxes.
Even though Sam is doing great swimming, he has to have his float at the ocean. He will just run right in the water. He has no fear.
Tanner is getting really getting good at chess. I don't know how to play but he loves to play with my dad and Aunt Katie.
CANNON BALL!
Running wild before "movie night" at Aly's Beach...we watched Zookeeper. It was a cute movie...more appropriate for Tanner but Sam laughed a few times.
Crabbin...what's a beach trip without crabbin?
It looks like they are beating one another but they are not...just getting some crabs.

a beach date
A date with my 2 sweet boys in Seaside.
Eating dinner at Pickles...no surprise there!
Slushies at Frost Bites...pink lemonade, orange and watermelon!
Ahh yes...what better way to end the night than a tantrum? Where are his shoes you ask? He threw them at a lovely family passing by...luckily the dad said we have 3 boys and then guessed that Sam was 3. They brought a babysitter...clearly they are smarter than me and their budget is bigger! Another family also passed and we also talked about the 3's...I did not know all of this because by 3 Tanner was great...18months-30months...not so much. Anyhoo when Sam finally decided to get up and walk...we passed the 2nd family getting in their car and their son was having a tantrum in the carseat. The mom was like see??? Then we talked about how many times we had each left Target empty handed due to major melt downs.
Overall...date night was SUPER!

boys at the beach
We love the ocean!
Even though the boys always say they want to go to the pool...clearly they love the beach!
We were really lucky this year...all 7 ocean days were amazing. Anyone who has been to the beach knows there are always yucky days...rainy, seaweed, jellyfish, etc.
The first few days, it was like a swimming pool, no waves.
The other days had great waves for "surfing"...I will say the last day had HUGE waves so I was a nervous wreck. I sat on the edge of the water the whole time Tanner was using the boogie board.
Tanner has so much endurance and is so athletic. I really think if we lived near the ocean he would be a surfing fool.

SEASIDE...my favorite place
SEASIDE BEACH in Florida
is
my
FAVORITE
place
in
the
whole
world.
I would choose a day there over any elaborate vacation...there is something magical about it. Maybe it's because I got married there or maybe it's the picket fences but I just love it. We don't stay in Seaside anymore...we stay further down 30-A, which is lovely, but like I said there is something magical about Seaside.
Buying a book at SunDog bookstore is a tradition...my mom buys the boys a book each year. She always writes in the books. We love looking back to see what she wrote.
Tanner loves ice cream from HEAVENLY...they have 10-12 sorbettos...dairy free gelatos. It's a dairy allergy boys dream ice cream store!
This is the pavilion where Chris and I had our reception and rehearsal dinner...it's changed a little but it's still beautiful. I loved our wedding...there is still not one thing I would change. I love that I get to visit where we got married every summer...sometimes we are even there on our anniversary.
The reception pavilion again.
And lunch at Pickles...a must for the boys!
Bud and Alley's a must for the grown-ups!!
