Later that Day
Sweet Virgina...
Uncle Wes and Virginia are getting married August 15th. Karen, Nia and I gave Virginia a shower at Karen's house. It was so much fun to spent time with just girls! Chris watched the boys...they had a great time as usual..Chris is so great! Nothing like wedding showers and weddings to help you remember how much you love your husband! You are the best Chris! Thank you for always loving me unconditionally!
We are very excited about the newest addition to our family. I could not ask for a sweeter sister-in-law. Wes loves her so much and we are so excited about the wedding. I hope they end up somewhere close to Memphis after the wedding!
No Shirts Required
THIS IS WHAT A TYPICAL SATURDAY LOOKS LIKE AT MY HOUSE...
NO SHIRTS, BOXERS AND ALOT OF BEDHEAD...no I am not in the kitchen...Chris made breakfast...well Gibson's made it but I'll eat anything if someone else made it. I used to make Tanner put a shirt and shorts on to be polite but now I see it as less laundry to do!!

LIFE IS GOOD...at the beach!!
We are so sad to beach back in reality...I love the beach. Tanner had such a great time this year...he crabbed, ate lots of ice cream at the Sugar Shack, built sandcastles and even let us bury him in the sand. He definetly won the "Best Tan" award for 2009. Sam liked the water (at the pool), was a big fan of anything that gave off shade, was a great napper and took his portable fan with him at all times!! Oh and YES...Tanner did eat that whole donut at the Donut Hole.
Tanner and Sam at East Ruskin Pavilion...where Mommy and Daddy
got married in Seaside, FL. I took 50 pictures and yes...this is the best one. Sam was HOT and Tanner was MAD!
Tanner worked so hard on the beach he had to refuel every 30 minutes!

Be Careful Little Eyes What You See Part 2
"Slow Fade" by Casting Crowns
Be careful little eyes what you see
It's the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings
Be careful little feet where you go
For it's the little feet behind you that are sure to follow
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
It's a slow fade, it's a slow fade
Be careful little ears what you hear
When flattery leads to compromise, the end is always near
Be careful little lips what you say
For empty words and promises lead broken hearts astray
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
The journey from your mind to your hands
Is shorter than you're thinking
Be careful if you think you stand
You just might be sinking
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
Daddies never crumble in a day
Families never crumble in a day
Oh be careful little eyes what see
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
For the Father up above is looking down in love
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
Be careful little eyes what you see
It's the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings
Be careful little feet where you go

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. PROVERBS 4:23
I just thought I would share my devotion with everyone. Not long after Tanner's Jenny McCarthy comments I heard this song and found this verse. It just reminded me that God has made Chris and I responsible for guarding our children's hearts which in today's world can be very difficult.
